When I got the diagnosis of Parkinson’s 15 years ago, I did not expect to still become as old as I am today. Back then, I was feeling very bad, but surrendering was never an option for me. I wanted to be strong for my husband and continue fighting. After all, it was not the first challenge I was facing in my life. Since that time, I have tried to remain fit and to be as independent as possible. I am 86 and I am cleaning, baking and working in the garden the best I can. Even if not everything is going as fast as before, I still enjoy those things very much. Thus, I don’t even have time to worry and I try to master all the challenges of everyday life.
