Many people think that parkinson's is treated only with pills. But the truth is that in addition to medication, a number of allied health care professionals (such as physiotherapists, speech and ergo therapists), dietitian and Parkinson's nurses can make a significant contribution to the quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease. Also, surgical treatments (such as Deep Brain Stimulation) are possible for a selected group of people with Parkinsonism.
