Fortunately, cycling is possible, even for people with Parkinson’s who have a lot of trouble walking! The tremors can sometimes disappear when doing activities such as cycling; some people are less bothered by the symptoms when cycling, even if the tremor is noticeable. If someone with Parkinson is not sure whether cycling is still safe due to the tremors, an occupational therapist or physical therapist can assist in evaluating this, and may provide useful tips to make cycling possible, for example cycling on a tricycle.
