There has been a lot of research into the cause of Parkinson's disease and it was found that there is not one cause, but there can be several factors that can contribute to its development. This includes for instance environmental factors such as exposure to pesticides or heavy metals. Sometimes, heredity might play a role, but for the most cases, there no clear cause can yet be identified.
