Unfortunately, there is still no medicine that can stop or slow down Parkinson's disease. However, there are medicines that can partially suppress the symptoms of parkinsonism (eg tremors or inertia). And people with Parkinson's disease should take these medicines daily, for the rest of their lives. In the early stages of the disease, these drugs work very well, but as the disease progresses, the side effects can cause it to become increasingly complicated to find the right dose of medication. If there the dosage is too low, the Parkinson's symptoms persists, while an excessive dose can have side effects such a migraines.
