Many people with Parkinson's spontaneously lose weight, on the one hand, because they eat less, and on the other hand because they consume more energy. Loosing weight is not a bad thing per se: you don’t have to carry as many kilos every day. But it is essential to prevent malnutrition or vitamin deficiencies. Also the loss of muscle mass is not desired, as this leads to muscle weakness and movement problems. It is therefore very important to have a healthy and varied diet.
