There are a number of brain operations available that can help in partially suppressing the symptoms of parkinsonism. Such surgeries are called “Deep Brian Stimulation”, where the neurosurgeon places an electrode in the brain. This electrode stimulates a small part of the brain, which partially suppresses the symptoms of parkinsonism. In general, an operation is considered if the medication can no longer provide the desired results.
