Spring 2020 has been all about the Coronavirus pandemic. The strict requirements to prevent its spread have also applied to our work at the Parkinson’s Research Clinic. Thus, we had to temporarily suspend the on-site visits of our participants.
With the effective lockdown measures to limit the pandemic, the NCER-PD clinical team now can invite our participants of the Luxembourg Parkinson’s Study back to our facilities – both people with Parkinson’s disease and controls.
When it comes to visits at the Parkinson Research Clinic, participants can be assured that all recommended health and safety measures are applied. In order to achieve physical distancing, the team is inviting less patients than usual on a daily basis, in order to ensure the health and safety of both participants and staff, of course, all hygiene measures are strictly followed. In addition, the members of the clinical team are regularly tested for Covid-19 in order to further reduce any risk of viral spread.
Still, whenever you feel insecure or you consider yourself as vulnerable, the team is happy to offer telephone questionnaires that allow for remote participation.
